Summer Bohnenkamp, has spent the better part of the last 15 years at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, FL, with one year away as the national director of marketing for the tours of Menopause The Musical™ and Motherhood the Musical for GFour Productions. At the Straz she has their in-house agency consisting of marketing, audience development, group sales, graphics, web, media production and public relations teams for the nation’s fifth-largest performing arts center, including multi-million dollar engagements with first national tours of Broadway juggernauts like The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot and Wicked. During her tenure, Morsani Hall (one of the Straz’ five campus venues) has consistently ranked in the top 5 grossing halls worldwide under 5,000 seats in Billboard, Venues Today and Pollstar.
An active participant in the Broadway League Road Marketing Committee and the Performing Arts Center Consortium’s marketing group for over 13 years, early in her career Summer was named one of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 30 Under 30 and an Up and Comer by the Tampa Bay Times’ *tbt . In 2011, she was nominated for the Broadway League Road Marketer of the Year Award.
No stranger to the other side of the theater and live entertainment business, Summer has also worked professionally as an actor, designer, stage manager and director since 1999. Bedford Devil marks here inaugural foray into film.
