Neil Gobioff is a film and off-Broadway producer, Broadway financier, stage and screen writer, and behind-the-scenes aficionado. In 1999, he began working behind the scenes in several theatrical productions, including Clive Barker’s The History of the Devil (Sound Technician), Bloody Poetry (Stage Manager) and Delusion of Darkness (Asst. Director/Stage Manager), all with Jobsite Theater.
Also in 1999, he wrote his first one-act play, Learning Swerve, with newly discovered writing partner, Shawn Paonessa. Since then, Paonessa and Gobioff have written many pieces for the stage, all produced, including the award winning The March of the Kitefliers, which broke several box office and artistic records, and the off-Broadway musical Pericles: Prince of Tires, featuring their book.
His credits include being a Broadway financier for Tony award winning and nominated productions, including Normal Heart, American Idiot and Peter and the Starcatcher. He has also served as a producer of the films Clutter (Co-Executive) and Winter in the Blood (Associate). Neil is a co-founder and the Head Honcho of Kitefliers Studios.
